Re: Other Games Thread
AP just passed Jamal Lewis. Simply amazing. 9 yards short of the record.

9 yards short. What an unbelievable season for AP. Hats off to him.

Re: Other Games Thread
That kick was close. Watch these two face each other again next week.

Amazing. I was actually standing and cheering on that last run.

Re: Other Games Thread
The interview with AP was great. He didn't even know he was 9 yards short. Gotta love AP. Too bad he didn't get the record, but it was a great game to watch.

Was hoping he'd miss the kick so they'd get OT

Re: Other Games Thread
Oh, I fully grasp what you're saying. The problem is, it's irrelevant. The rule doesn't mention anything about "WHEN the replay official buzzed the review down." It just says that in ANY situation where an automatic review would occur but a challenge flag is thrown, said review will not occur and a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty will be assessed.
The play in question was called a turnover on the field and all turnovers are automatically reviewed. Ergo, when the call was made and McCarthy threw the flag, the review is cancelled.
What Mike Carey announced was nothing other than nonsensical bullshit. It was totally irrelevant to the application of the rule.

AD is amazing.
I was really pullling for him...great player and from all appearances a great person.
Incredible that he was able to do this in a year with so few options on the rest of the offense...really reminds me of Jamal's year.Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

That game was great. Nice to see the Packers not rest anyone and play their butts off against a division opponent.
