    Ray Rice on PFT @ 5:30 p.m.

If anyone is around a TV set, turn to NBC Sports Network!

The teaser involved asking him about Ray Lewis' necessity to the team for a Super Bowl run.

Re: Ray Rice on PFT @ 5:30 p.m.

Just some highlights from the segment ...

Q: Will it be hard for the Ravens to win a Super Bowl without Ray Lewis?
A: Rice says, "Ray Lewis coming back exemplifies everything that he is. He IS the Ravens." Says it will be "very hard" for us to win a Super Bowl without Ray Lewis on the field, 'next man up' mentality or not.

Q: How do you explain/defend Joe Flacco's inconsistent performances? One game he looks like a Pro Bowler, the next game he struggles.
A: Rice says that the best thing about Joe is he is a "bounce-back" guy.

Q: On the firing of Cam Cameron ...
A: Rice says Cam's a great person and he's grateful for everything Cam's done for him; he went to two Pro Bowls under Cam and doesn't think that's an accident. But he also understands the "pressure to win." Says Cam went out with class and "respect."

Q: How important is the Bengals game coming up, with the Bengals having nothing to play for and with our best scenario (Miami beating New England) unlikely to happen?
A: Rice says, "It's one thing to win a division; it's another to CONTROL a division." (Best quote ever.) He wants the Ravens to play to win on Sunday because winning is awesome. He doesn't want the team to think splitting with Pittsburgh and Cincinnati is good enough.

Q: Finish this sentence. "This year the Ravens will ..."
A: Rice said, "... definitely try to go compete for a Super Bowl." (Not the most bombastic statement, but anything less gets him ripped for not having confidence in the team, and anything more is bulletin board material.)

Cincy what is the word in Cincinnati about the Bengals approach to this game?

    1) Doesn't mean much. Team willl try not to show anything and rest key players.
    2) Will play hard for a half, then take a wait and see approach.
    3) Follow up a big win against Pittsburgh will a solid effort against us.

    Something else?

Marvin says he is going all out to win, which is what Ray Rice said. We haven't forgotten the opening night "Trouncing" you guys put on us. We need to at least show improvement over last years 9-7.

It would bring a lot of pride to a young team to finish with the same record as the mighty Ravens that humiliated us in their home. This one might get ugly but I pray for no injuries to either team.

Fans and media. We/they remember the score of game 1.
