Too bad we didn't draft Kirk Cousins. That mid-round QB is exactly what this team needed.

That ship has sailed, with a running qb they need him as their backup

I really didn't plan on watching tape on QBs this winter...but it's unavoidable now.

I like Tajh Boyd in the second round.

Kirk Cousins is NOT a better player than Flacco. Not at all.

But even so, I'm totally off the Flacco bandwagon and want the team to draft a QB early next year. There just aren't a ton of good ones this year. Geno Smith will go in the top 10, Matt Barkley probably in the top 20. Beyond those guys I don't see any other 1st rounders. I DON'T want the Ravens to reach for a QB.

I like Tyler Wilson in the 2nd. Tyler Bray in the 2nd-3rd. Mike Glennon and Ryan Nassib in the 3rd. Don't really like any other QBs. Tajh Boyd, Aaron Murray, and Landry Jones are horribly overrated.

Barkely could be in trading range if the Ravens are interested. They're not doing that and extending Flacco. It's possible, though unlikely, they would draft Barkley and franchise Flacco for the season. That would give them some real options for 2014

Joe IS an "Elite" QB! Sometimes.

He is also, sometimes, a BAD QB.

All we need is a QB who is consistently above average. Joe is not that QB.

We don't need / can not afford to draft his immediate replacement, but we MUST develop a reasonable Plan B through draft or FA.

Remember what happened when the Jets traded up to get a 6'2 QB from USC a few years back? I don't want a Mark Sanchez clone, Barkley has played terrible this year too.

I don't disagree with you, but how can you say Cousins isn't a better player than Flacco? The guy has started 1 game in the NFL. We don't know what he can do yet.

I was replying in the context of the OP, which seemed to be calling for the Ravens to trade for Cousins this offseason. No thanks on that.

He's not a better player at the present time, because Flacco is proven as an average to sometimes-above-average QB. Cousins, until proven otherwise, is just a guy.

You also can't say that he is better than Joe based off of one good game which makes this whole thread and the OP laughable.

329 yards and 2 TD's in his first start is pretty impressive.

I don't see him as a Sanchez clone at all. Barkley reminds me of Jake Locker. All that really matters is whether the Ravens FO likes him or not and obviously we're not going to hear for a while.

I do think they have to do something in this draft. They don't have the space to get a QB in free agency. There is no way they are going to pay Flacco what he wants and might even pull the offer the made before the season. They need an option at the position and I doubt TT is it.
