    Ed Reed flu like symptoms.

Ed Reed explained that he had "flu like" symptoms when he let Knowshon Moreno hurdle over him.
Ed its time to go baby. You can't or won't tackle and you are a liability. Thanks for the many great years but its time for the Ed Reed show to hit the road.

You really must see this gif. It is quite hilarious.

Ed was standing almost straight up. Knowshawn did that to a guy in college.

Ed does make excuses or if he misses a tackle he gets up hurt (maybe pretending?) but that could have happened to anybody.

Has he had the flu most of the season? Someone else hurdled him a while back.

Yep. Moreno did that a lot.

Bernard Pierce does that a lot too. Still though...

Worse was when he got totally punked on coverage of the long TD bomb that put the broncos up 24-7. The one where Cary Williams looked back and wondered where his safety help was and then Ed was kicking helmets on the sideline.

    Saw that too.

    Ed jumped the underneath route.

Still no excuse for Cary to give up on the play.

Re: Ed Reed flu like symptoms.

Ed Reed's not playing at a high level anymore, and that sucks because he's my favorite Raven. He shouldn't be back with the team next year. I know all these things, but the saddest thing to me is that opposing QBs don't respect him at all anymore. They are throwing deep right into his coverage knowing that he is playing for a pick 99% of the time.

All they need to do is move him with their eyes and the deep middle of the field opens right up. Yesterday they destroyed Ed on the stutter and go, all it took was a quick stutter, Peyton tricked Ed to bite on the deep in, and it was gone. Looked like Ed was playing cover-1 and needed to help his CB over the top, but just like all year Ed was out of position. He's always been a freelancer but with his range essentially gone at this point nobody wants a safety who's playing in his own world.

You are correct. I watched the Pittsburgh game and Troy Polamalu is done too. Troy and Ed are now hurting their teams.
