I just think if this was his decision, he would be more forceful with the reasons why it was made. He doesn't have to get into 3rd down conversion rates and game management, etc. But I would expect some general version of what was not being accomplished on offense and why "he" made the decision.
Instead, it seems like what it has been reported: "I had to let Cam go, he's a great guy, not thrilled about it, but it is what it is..."
Firing your Offensive Coordinator, mid-season, in the midst of a playoff push, is a ballsy move if it is your decision. It's either not his, or he's got a great poker face....
