Have to think that Jake Long gets less than Beatty, coming off of an injury right?......right?

The Steelers have been redoing contracts for the past 3 yrs. If it was that easy all the teams would do it. When does the time come when the dead money hits..?? This will be the 3rd year in a row for Cheeseburger...

This year, it's going to cost them Mike Wallace, Casey Hampton and possibly James Harrison.

The Steelers are like the Govt. Keep putting off it off for the future. Wallace is a FA, Hampton may retire and Harrison may be kept with the savings. Unless there is Hampton dead money.

Hampton is unrestricted. I was talking about them not being able to bring him back on a new contract.

just liek the gov't, that bubble is about to burst any day now, and in the case of the steelers it will cause a 2-3 year period of being non-competitive.
