Re: Draft / FA / Offseason Roster Moves (Merged)

Mayock thinks the Ravens will sprint to the podium if either Teo or Ogletree are still on the board.

It was 2 years, $7.5m. His cap hit this year is $4.9m, which would make last year's $2.6m, so year, it almost doubled.

Short is injured and won't be at the combine or pro day. He may slide a bit due to a couple of other prospects performing well and jumping him, I could see him being there at. 32 maybe.

He'd be a solid pick at 32, he looked great at the senior bowl.

Chiefs cut Steve Breaston and Kevin Boss

And lol at this blurb from an article on NFL.com about potential cuts http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...gn=Twitter_atl

    5. Jared Gaither, San Diego Chargers tackle: Local and national observers expect Gaither to be history in San Diego after alienating coaches and teammates alike last season. Coined "Big Lazy," Gaither has earned a reputation with both the Chargers and the Ravens for malingering. The Bolts will take a $6 million cap hit to release Gaither.

A conditioned Short will be a very good pro.
I'd take him over Minter, Te'o, Ertz/Eifert and Elam.

If it's true that Jones' cap figure is 4.9, are you going to pay that for a return man who occasionally makes a play as your third WR? That's in general, not accounting for the current cap situation.

Unfortunately, Vontae Leach may find himself in a similar situation. Are you going to pay him his money when it is becoming clearer that the offensive sets that work the best under Caldwell do not include him?

A.J. Smith thinks he knows every thing. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did.

If the FO is planning to release JJ12 and aren't targeting a WR in April then they should give Breaston a look to compete with Doss.
Breaston would be our best route runner depending on how Doss and Torrey improve over the summer.
Would need to be cheap though.

I get the feeling that this is going to be a flooded market.
