This draft is filled with a really underrated class of LBs that fit that bill. Maybe there isn't a Willis, or a Brian Cushing here, but there's some very solid value players.
    Yup.

There are no high quality, 3 down LB's over 245 in todays game. Willis is listed at 240. Bowman is 242. Daryl Washington is 230. Kuechly is 235. It goes on and on.

The days of 250 pound 3 down LB's are pretty much over.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

I hope teams make this mistake though and think Arthur brown is too small. Incase anyone didn't know I have Him as the number one ilb. I'd love him at 64 or trade up a few spots to grab him.

No way. Not that Arthur Brown isn't a good player, he is. However, there are MUCH higher rated players on both sides of the ball that will be there when Chicago picks.

Who was Bruce Irvin again this time last year?

I like Phillip Steward at LB.
    See post #2530.

I need to find more film on this guy. There's something about him on this tape that I'd really like to see confirmed (or not) in other games.

What does that have to do with anything? I dont get the comment. I'm not entirely sure you do either. Pete Carroll is a wild csrd and drafts who he wants. I dont think you can compare him to any other HC or GM in the league. The year before he took a mkd round prospect in round 1 (James Carpenter).

Furthermore, Marc Trestman is an offense guy and part of the reason they canned Lovie was because he wasnt an offense guy. Trestman is going to completely build out around Cutler.

It is also entirely possible that Brown is there for them in round 2.

One thing is certain: almost everyone's draft board is going to be changed in a week or so.

    No doubt.

I actually think this is going to be a weird draft. The lack of overall top tiered talent makes me think that there are going to be A LOT of trades happening.

There isn't one franchise QB in this draft. If teams like Arizona, KC, Buffalo were smart they'd wait till the second and address another need.

I dont think KC takes Geno Smith.

    1. Andy Reid loves taking lineman in round one.
    2. Arizona may want to unload Kolb.
    3. Reid supposedly is trying to trade for Foles.
    4. I have read in a couple of different places now that the word around KC is Joeckel in round one and Tyler Wilson in round 2.
    5. Brandon Albert has already said he won't play anywhere but LT and wants to get paid like a LT. Problem is, he isnt very good. He is average to slightly above avg.

Unless KC signs Jake Long or something, which I am not even sure they can do that monetarily speaking, I think they take Luke Joeckel and then see what QB falls to the top of round 2 or the bottom of round 1.
