    Re: New draft/FA/offseason thread

Could walker be a potential fullback?

He's the same height as Leach, but 20 pounds lighter (as they are both listed)

Be interesting, given how little Leach was utilized and his cap hit sucks. Plus walker has decent catching ability for a fullback and Leach had some nice catches this year

You really don't need to go out and sign a pricey FA to play fullback. Jed Collins, Henry Hynoski, and Darrell Young are 3 of the top FBs in the NFL over the past few years, and all of them went undrafted. Jerome Felton, James Casey, Michael Robinson... all 4th or 5th round picks.

I'm not saying it's easy to sign a top-tier FB as an UDFA or late-round draft pick, but it's a better bang for your buck than going out and spending anything more than veteran minimum money (Walker will want more than that).

There are several good FB/HB/blocking TE prospects in this class... Kyle Juszczyk out of Harvard is my favorite. He plays FB, HB, and TE, good blocker and excellent athlete. Should be a late pick or priority UDFA.

That's fair, probably wouldn't save much over just keeping Leach anyway. Personally I'm going ot hate seeing Leach go, but FB is not worth that much anymore

    Re: New draft/FA/offseason thread

I was Playing around with my mock draft, so I thought I'd give my four round (including 4th round compensatory pick for Grubbs) to get some input

1st round: Eric Reid, FS, LSU

    2nd round: Brandon Williams, DT

3rd round: Oday Aboushi, T, Virginia

4th round: Kevin Reddick, LB, UNC

4th round: Nico Johnson, LB, Alabama

Just looking for inputs. It's hard to get range for a lot of these guys before the combine, but I think this would address needs and give a few immediate starters. Also depends on FA plans for Reed, Mckinnie, Ellerbe. Thoughts?

Aboushi is terrible I hope they stay away from him. He got beat like a drum at the Senior Bowl and I never saw anything special in him during the season.

That's pretty much their entire leadership on defense. Both of those guys are good football players but they have some age on them. Too much for here. I do think they'll both get jobs though.

Let's not get cute with our Lombardi. We need guys that can catch.

Travis Kelce is officially my favorite TE of this class!

2 years ago, George Wilson was one of the better safeties in the NFL.

If Ed Reed is no-go, I'd be interested in Wilson as a stop gap guy.

I'd love to see Banett in Baltimore. Last 2 years he's played all 16 games. Could be an immediate replacement for Lewis beside Ellerbe (if he returns). That way a drafted pick could work in under a vet like Barnett. Not sure what the cost would be though

No offense man...but I would not be pleased with this draft at all.

Eric Reid is really overrated. Brandon Williams is good. Not sure if I'd use a second on him though. Possibly. Aboushi isn't very impressive (I'd rather keep Jah and Harewood), and Nico Johnson is a 2-down LB at best. The only pick you made that I really like is Kevin Reddick in round 4.
