If Rice is not hurt, I don't understand his under-utilization on that drive.

Wow...the most impressive thing I saw from that play wasn't the throw or catch.
It was Joe subtly sliding out of the pocket, but not so much as to shut off the rest of the field...that movement is really underrated.Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
