Huh? Bad drafts, poor management, very few of the players actually like the guy (supposedly)...

If AJ Smith was such an awesome GM he wouldnt be getting fired. It would just be Norv.

    Nice try though.

Uh, yeah I already know this. It's hilarious how some people are clueless about the people who were responsible for the amount of talent on those Chargers teams in 2005 and 2006.

Yea, John Butler who drafted Tomlinson in 2001 and signed Antonio Gates in 2003.

A.J. Smith let his ego get in the way of business. Take a look at the list of players that have left under Smith, Tomlinson, Turner, Sproles, Cromartie, Jackson. Gates is aging and Smith has failed to find an adequate replacement. They drafted Matthews, who is made of glass. They let Tolbert go, since they drafted Matthews in the first round. They've had two offensive linemen retire and it was Smith's bright idea to give Gaither, of ALL people an extension.

I am absolutely, 100% behind Norv Turner as the new OC of the Baltimore Ravens. He is just another great OC who was not as successful as a HC.

I don't think that the problem is the system, it's the way that Cameron is administering the system.

The Indianapolis Colts ran a variant of the Coryell offense
The Greatest Show on Turf ran a variant of the Coryell offense
The Detroit Lions run a variant of the Coryell offense
The Pittsburgh Steelers ran a variant of the Coryell offense.

The offense can work if used properly, just like any offense.

They are not the same person.

Personally I can't see someone like norv being hired by harbugh. If things went shaky harbugh could be on the hot seat so to speak with someone like norv behind him.

I'd love to see a college guy, or a QB coach, or an oc who's hc calls plays, like the saints guy, come here and be wanting to make a name for themselves, just change the whole philosophy. And hope john keeps out of it and let's him run the offense the way he wants.

The issue with bringing in a young buck to change the whole philosophy is that Joe Flacco might not be willing to go through that, because that will come with it's own set of bumps in the road. That's more like something you would try with a young buck QB.

That's another reason why I think that it will either be Turner or Caldwell.

So the Chargers are out of it, so he decides now is the time to run plays with Eric Weddle on offense? That's who people want as our next OC?
