Re: Will Haloti Rebound?
Yeah I know that, Docket was one of the best 5 technqiues in the league, he's seemed to have taken a slight nose dive recently though. But IF McPhee can come back healthy, and with another season under his belt, I think he can get better than what he was in his rookie year, and get to that kind of level.

Ngata will be fine.
He needs an off season of dropping a few pounds (the reason, IMO, he's been injured as often as he has) and healing up a few nagging injuries.
Remember, he's playing with a dinged up knee right now. You're not going to get that explosive push or lateral movement when you constantly have to worry about not snapping your MCL.

Exactly.
People forget that spraining your MCL is a significant injury, especially for someone who plays a high amount of snaps at DT. I still think he can contribute down the stretch, and is probably better used as a NT at this point, as it is a need in it's own right.

Re: Will Haloti Rebound?
It aint Haloti when hes's getting double and some times trippled guys like Cody need tot ake advantage of those one on one matchups, have you seen Athur Jones lately? he's been sucking up those one on one matchups when they come the guy is in the back field automatically when he gets those matchups. Imagine if we had a good D coordinator? Jones would be looking really good right now

Re: Will Haloti Rebound?
Below average? Maybe in someone's dreams do DT's average playhing that well...
He started out the season, YET AGAIN at a DPOY candidate, and slowed due to injuries. As has been mentioned by many, if we can get deeper on the DL and limit his snaps some, and keep him healthy, he's a DPOY candidate each and every year in which he can remain mostly healthy. He is amongst the very best FEW defensive players in the entire league. He is quite possibly the most effective defender in the run game at any position in the entire league. He's double and triple teamed on every snap, even when hampered with a pretty serious knee injury. He beats double teams as often as anyone in the league, despite a major knee injury...
I see the point of the thread, as he hasn't been able to stay healthy recently, btu despite that he continues to play, and play at a high level, and high snap count, game after game, year after year. He's a complete BEAST.

Re: Will Haloti Rebound?
Okay, guys. Go back and re-watch the game tape, paying close attention to the line play, of the last 3 games. Ngata isn't getting double teamed anymore. He's getting taken out of plays completely by single blocks. That doesn't mean he's doing NOTHING, but he's just not the dominant force he used to be and other teams know that, hence the fact that they're not even bothering to double him anymore.
The ONLY guy on the Ravens DL who's really seeing double teams at all right now is Kruger, and that's usually an OT and TE. Part of the reason why teams are running so well on the Ravens is that they can just single-block the DL, send the C to the second level, and control any blitzers with backfield protection. You've got to actually watch the games, the tape don't lie...
