I'm not sure where the author got this info but nevertheless I found this quite interesting and it confirms what some of us have been saying on this board in that the Ravens don't target the middle of the field enough relying too heavily on patterns outside of the hashmarks. The only thing missing in this analysis is road versus home. My guess is that we would see a large variance here.

In my opinion the ravens are little too conservative on the road. I would like to see Flacco and Cam get more aggressive in this spot of the field. You could point to a lot of factors that explain why this struggle exists (i.e faulty OL play, play calling, trust, confidence etc) but at the end of the day the problem is apparent. We need to attack the middle of the field more often because teams are starting to roll their coverage underneath and outside of the markers.
