Does Ben Play?
Simple question:
Do you think Ben Roethlisberger starts on Sunday?

Re: Does Ben Play?
Ever since Roethlisberger yammered on about his broken rib potentially severing his aorta I've presumed he was setting up his pundits to deify him when his makes his heroic early return this week. It's just too classically Roethlisberger for it not to be the case.
"A lot" is a two word expression denoting a great deal or greatly, as in "I like sunshine a lot." "Alot" is a lovable imaginary grammar monster. You can love a lot; you can love an alot; you can love alots a lot; but they are not the same thing.

Re: Does Ben Play?
This. In fact, as soon as he said 3 weeks, I knew it would be sooner so they could play it up.
He will, we'll hear all about how tough he is for being out there. Then they will lose badly and we will hear how decimated by injury they are, ignoring the fact that so are the Ravens but they continue to win.

I think he will play but I have no idea.
I would think he would be pretty limited at this point.

Re: Does Ben Play?
God help Ben if he comes back with a 7th round rookie RT and a banged Colon trying to protect him.

"
But continues that "[Ben's] not going to be allowed to play unless he shows us he's capable," whatever that means.
Tomlin also says Woodley is doubtful, but says Antonio Brown is "expected to return" and Polamalu "could return" (they are "encouraged by his status").

Re: Does Ben Play?
I don't think so
1. The O-line is even shoddier than it was two weeks ago (and they're on the road dealing crowd noise)
and
2. They need him more in the long run (particularly against Cinci)

Would I be surprised if he did? No.

Re: Does Ben Play?
^This
I think he (and the Steelers) will make the mistake of trotting out there Sunday because they still think they can win the division. The fact is even if they win on Sunday their chances for the division aren't good at all. In reality their best shot of making the playoffs would be to rest him further and get him back for the Cincy game. They're going to rush him back and it will probably cost them a wildcard spot.
