I just hope the Sun is wrong. They had a QB coach and Flacco liked him. They had to get rid if him because there were too many voices in Flacco's head. So now the issue is that there are not enough voices in Flacco's head? If this happens I'm going to lose a lot of respect for Harbaugh.
No surprise, reading the tea leaves does suggest that Cam is staying. Underwhelming.
If this part is true though, it admits they made a big mistake this year. I'm not sure what they're doing.
Chuck leaves, Cam staying. Worst case scenario actualized.
I'm not surprised. I think he saved his ass w a good gameplan in NE. It's hard to fire a guy that's a dropped pass away from going to the Superbowl imo.
I'll trust they made a good decision. I will say this though, there are no excuses next year. An average offense, isn't going to be good enough. All the pieces, save LG and C, are returning. The offense has to take a definitive step forward next year or he's gone.
This wouldn't shock me in the least.
Like I said yesterday in other threads, losing Pagano was not a good recipe to fire Cameron.
I just don't think they want to do that much change at one time to a team that was one dropped pass away from the Superbowl.
I think the QB coach thing is just so Joe can have a buffer between him and Camreron.
We've all seen Cameron and Joe have their differences, so I think them wanting to have somebody else besides Cam to talk to and meet with is the "happy middle ground" they're thinking about trying to create.
According to the article, Chuck got into a heated exchange with Harbaugh during Houston game. This is the first I heard of it, anyone knew about this before?

Per Mike Preston sooo....
I should have known ....
It's Preston making the rumblings:

My apologies for repeating a text I got and not do the research myself. So take it with a grain of salt if this is actually true or not. And I am going to fix the headline.
Shame on me ....
Yeah, reading the article sounds like just airing of conjecture. According to him, a source says Cameron will get a new contract (though it doesn't exactly sound like a long one), but he himself doesn't expect one.
If Cam does get a contract, but it's short, sounds to me that it would be: 'We'll keep you, but only because we can't find anyone else'.
Guess we'll know soon enough what the decision is.
This will take away all optimism for next year if true. Another year of frustration and seeing Joe not progress if Cam is around.
