Agreed, lets see what the Blue Hen does for the Ravens!!!
Figurs takes it to the 19, and here comes Flacco.
Heap is playing.....huh!?!
Interested in seeing how Gaither does....
1st, Rice gets 2. I didn't know Heap was playing. Good to see Gaither back too.
2nd and 8, D-Will comes in and everyone is coming back home, complete on the checkdown to Rice, gain of 3.
3rd and 5, Flacco is in trouble, just chucks it up and Clayton makes a brilliant grab at the sideline for a first. That was so bizarre, but it worked.
Heap and Gaither?
Better not let the doom sayers see that .... that blows their "sky falling"theory out of the water.
1st from the 35, quick slant batted down. Flacco needs to work on looking off defenders.
2nd, checkdown to Rice, gets about a yard.
3rd and 9, shotgun, zing out right to Clayton, 1 yard short of the sticks, makes his man miss and gets an extra 3 and a first. Good hookup.
i gotta think that Flacco is more likely to be the starter next week. Troy Smith has only player 3/4 of a game this preseason total, and unless he's showing he can do it in practices, he needs at least a week or two to get back to full strength.
And if we bring a QB in, he'll need time to learn the playbook.
So Flacco, LIGHT IT UP tonight, and make us get some hope for the season!
Line held up for him.....
1st from the 48, PA, Flacco is swamped, and he just kinda throws it down for McClain. Barely a forward pass.
2nd and 10, McClain gets the carry, goes for about 5, crossing midfield.
3rd and 5, Flacco gets great protection, looks forever, goes deep for a double covered D-Will, incomplete. Funny, he stared down his WR first, then on this play he looked off option 1 too quickly. He'll learn.
1st from the 20 for the Falcons, give to Turner, great penetration, no gain.
2nd and 10, draw to Turner, big hole opens up, gets 12 and a first.
