The Ravens would be wise to look at some cast offs this off season...Kubiak would solve a lot of problems.

agree, being an OC on a successful team could de-stress him. Caldwell has really disappointed me this year (by that I mean the Ravens O, which I thought would have to carry the team after all the D losses.)
Harbs tends to hire people in his network, I don't know if he and Kubs have ever crossed paths.
at least we probly won't have to worry about our coordinators leaving for HC jobs this year (some sarcasm intended...)
Everybody hires people in their network. Which is why I've thought for about 3 weeks that Kubiak is gonna get a call from an old colleague going into a lameduck contract year, who doesn't want to fire his son, errrrrrr, I mean, current OC, and has an owner willing to overpay for an "Offensive Consultant". That's just my wild speculation, though. And, who knows if that old friend is even going to coach that lameduck season, since I don't think he's going to win another game the rest of the year.
Kubiak would be a great addition, although making such a drastic scheme change (Coryell to West Coast) might be tough for Joe and the offense. The one thing that's always been true with Kubiak is that he plays to the strength of his personnel and gets as much production as possible out of guys. Matt Schaub overachieved for years in his system until he just this year fell apart. Hiring Kubiak would go a long way to getting more out of our OL, too. The man can coach up offense, plain and simple.
Fill in the blanks: a Gary Kubiak offense. Rocket-armed QB with underrated athleticism. Speedy deep threat receiver on one side, sticky-handed 6'4 guy with great route running on the other. A great receiving TE who moves like a WR. A highly athletic offensive line blocking for a do-it-all running back. That could either be the 97-98 Broncos or the 2014 Ravens.
Kubiak runs a more pure zone blocking system down there doesn't he? Would we expect him to bring that up here or do we think he would be open to purer man system?
I'd take Kubiak in a second as our OC, ZBS and all.
He knows how to install and run it properly. He did it in Denver and has been doing it with great success in Houston.
