Good lord....and they (supposedly) went to journalism school for this?

Someone just accurately tweeted (I know, seems an oxymoron these days) that nobody is really going to remember who got it first....but people are certainly going to remember (supposedly) CNN getting it wrong. Apparently the AP is sticking by their story...for now.
The Twitter timeline certainly points to CNN and AP as the sources of the bogus report.
John King was just on giving an almost apology but then turned around and blamed the sources.

Pretty sure someone probably mentioned this earlier in this forum...
Makes me think how "safe" our Ravens victory parade was in February.
A lot of people...
The police were unable to contain the crowd around Ray Lewis...
It was a good day... But definitely a safety risk.
Well, we weren't even targeted, at least nothing we know about. It was the
big city Boston and NY before that.
The press stopped worrying about accuracy back with William Randolph Hearst,
the father of yellow journalism. He made a fortune with it and practically
started the Spanish American War with it. Some even accuse him of sinking
the Maine himself for the story-lol. But without a doubt the media fueled
America's passion for the war.
Because of Hearst, it's even called "The First Media War."
