But I do remember the Ravens NOT making MANY 3rd and shorts the last couple of years...and it was only Leach who could blast a hole for a 1st down, whether running it himself or blowing a linebacker 5 yards off the line of scrimmage.
Maybe Leach becomes a luxury with Caldwell calling the plays, BUT, if the new Ravens will indeed be led by their offense...that offense needs to stay on the field by grinding out the 1st downs when needed.
The Ravens defense used to be the immovable object...
Now the Ravens offense has to be the unstoppable force. That helps the defense as well.

You don't pay your QB what we just paid him to play a complementary role to a heavy rushing attack.

Chiefs are seeking a second-round pick in this year's draft as well as another pick in 2014 in a trade for franchise OT Branden Albert.

The Chiefs want what they paid for Alex Smith. Except Smith is signed to a reasonable deal for the next 2 seasons and Albert is under the tag. Forget it.

Doesn't hurt to ask for the moon and end up with something slightly below that
Keep in mind that Reid is behind the wheel here, he's fleeced other teams in the past and he's going to fleece someone else this year, whether it's in a trade for Albert or #1 pick in the draft.

A collection of Chiefs officials, including GM John Dorsey, are on Florida campus today, privately working out Florida DT Shariff Floyd.

Floyd is who Greg Cosell thinks will end up going 1st overall.

I'm sure they'd prefer to trade the pick if possible but otherwise they have to chose someone. Funny, didn't they use their first pick on the DT from Memphis last year?
