Ravens | Dannell Ellerbe may be looking for lucrative deal

There is speculation that Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent LB Dannell Ellerbe is looking for a multi-year deal that is worth $25 million to $30 million. The Ravens may allow Ellerbe to leave if he is looking for that type of contract because there are several linebackers available in the draft.
I think a deal similar to the one the Steelers gave Lawrence Timmons is what Ellerbe is targetting. Honestly, Ellerbe should be able to get a deal like this one from the Ravens or another team.
Lawrence Timmons ILB
8/23/2011: Signed a six-year, $50 million contract. The deal included an $11 million signing bonus. 2013: $750,000 (+ $7.125 million "signing" bonus), 2014: $6.75 million, 2015: $7.5 million, 2016: $8.75 million, 2017: Free Agent

I don't think Ellerbe is goin to get that much money for 3 reasons:
1. He has a long history of injuries including this year.
2. This was his first relevant year, never mind his first good year.
3. The MLB position continues to be undervalued by teams and thus are not paid as much as they are worth.
I've heard that several teams could be targeting Ellerbe...
New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia (who is switching to a 3-4), I'm sure Cleveland could be interested (Ellerbe lined up beside Jackson would be a really nice combo), the Giants, Houston, and now apparently Buffalo.
I think Ellerbe is going to have a lot of suitors.
The dolphins just placed on the franchise tag on Randy Starks which allows Sean Smith test free agency unrestricted. Not sure if his name was thrown around but my guess is that he would be too expensive, not a good fit for us or both?
Ed Reed says he really can't see himself playing anywhere else. Good to hear, but do we have any money left to give him what he wants?
