Why wouldn't New England leap frog Houston in seedings today?
If Houston loses at Indy, they finish 12-4.
If New England wins, they finish 12-4.
New England spanked Houston on MNF a few weeks ago.
So why does NE only get a bye if the BRONCOS lose and not the Texans. I thought that head-head game was the first tie-breaker?

New England will be the #2 seed if they win and Houston loses. Houston goes from #1 seed and homefield throughout to #3 seed with no bye. OUCH!
Re: Why wouldn't New England leap frog Houston in seedings today?
NE gets the #1 seed if both Houston and Denver lose
Re: Why wouldn't New England leap frog Houston in seedings today?
It looks like Indy will play Houston again next week.

That's what I meant. ;)
Re: Why wouldn't New England leap frog Houston in seedings today?
Under the scenario that looks likely, Denver & NE wins, thus Denver #1, NE #2, Houston #3 and us #4. We play Indy and then hope Cincy beats Houston, so Cincy goes to Denver and we go to NE (again).
Re: Why wouldn't New England leap frog Houston in seedings today?
Why does it always seem like New England gets the breaks? Going into last weekend they stood virtually no shot at getting a bye. Now Houston fucking collapses and bingo-#2 seed. I hate Houston. I hate New Emgland.

New England, good team with great QB, receivers, and belicheat.

The Ravens won't play Houston if they win. If Houston wins next week, the Ravens play Denver. The only way the Ravens play Houston is in the AFC Championship game.
