Collinsworth should follow him out the door.
Dierdorf and Collinsworth sound like they are rubbing one out in the booth when they do Steelers games. I think it was just last season where Dierdorf was fawning over Big Ben and called him "Y.A. Tittle". As if anyone under the age of 60 had a clue what he was talking about.

I guess I am in the minority, I like Dierdorf...his focus on line play was a different perspective. To each their own.

Praise be to God! I am sure that Dierdork is a very nice person but a horrible announcer. He is the best at stating the blatantly obvious that I have ever seen or heard and provides no depth or insight into his comments.

Gus signed a deal with FOX a couple of years ago. They don't seem to use him for the NFL which is too bad.
Re: Good news for Ravens Fans - Dierdorf to Retire!
My memory of Dier-Dork was the game where he insisted that a tipped ball only negated Defensive Pass Interference, not Offensive. A flag had been thrown on Boldin for man-handling a defender after the ball was batted into the air. Of course, when they picked up the flag and mentioned that it had been tipped and so there was no interference, I think that Gum-ball went on to a CBS promo.
Put me in the "Glad he is going" column.

Gus was like watching an SNL skit on some Sundays. His delivery was so over the top it wasn't funny.
Actually love hearing him do NCAA Tournament games, which he won't be able to do at Fox. But never cared much for him in a football booth.

Mayock? Eh....the guy over analyzes everything. He should stick to the studio and his college player analysis, which he is pretty good at.

Agreed.
I love Mayock's draft stuff but he and Nessler are quite boring IMO.

I guess I'll be in the minority here. I liked Dierdorf and thought he was always complementary towards the Ravens.
