We exchanged hello's and other pleasantries, and I wished him luck against Pitt that weekend. (I wish the story ended with our two girls emerging from the rest room together, and becoming life long friends, but... no. I don't think the girls said a word to each other, despite being the only two occupants of the bathroom at that time.) I did note to myself that Harbs seemed like a good guy, not just in his interaction with me but also because he, not his wife (who I'm pretty sure was there), had elected to take his little girl to the bathroom. It's even more obvious since then what a hands-on Dad he is! I think all of my first impressions were spot-on; glad he hasn't disappointed us!
Great story!
My 6 year old girl just got her Ravens Super Bowl Champions official shirt in the mail last night. She's wearing it to school today and already said she wants to sleep in it. It's great getting little girls into football. The tough part is going to be when they want to join the team. I know I'm going to have to cross that bridge in a couple of years.

Point of order, if you don't mind --
Would that have been Jarret or Jacoby? ;)

Purple Fridays at my kids schools were awesome. I have 3 girls and a boy decked in purple. If there is any sport at all on our TV, my 22 month will say 'Ravens playing Dada?". Warms my heart every time!

Re: John Harbaugh's Daughter
LOL. Was there something weird about this thread? I've created much weirder ones before. And be thankful I didn't share my poem about the Ravens before the playoffs started.
Screw it. Here it is:
There is no truth
Only freedom
In the eyes of the matador
He has no God
Only peasants
Sprinkling their delicate flowers
Over the graves of the maimed
