Gino Gradkowski (yes another thread)
But this time, its to give him some praise. He has graded out really well over the past two games, maybe he's starting to get it. I'm willing to give it some more time with Gino, and see if maybe he is the future at C after all. I have been one of the main nay sayers when it comes to Gradkowski, but he had the best game of his career against Chicago. Keep it up man, I'm rooting for you to make it, and knock off the list of needs in the draft.
Re: Gino Gradkowski (yes another thread)
The past 2 games were about the easiest any Center is going to see, at least once Atkins went down. If Gradkowski is able to play the Jets DTs without getting completely steamrolled I'll be impressed. He just needs to hold his own and do nothing fancy. The D-line for the Jets is by far their best overall unit.
Re: Gino Gradkowski (yes another thread)
If the bengals d was easy how come Rice and Pierce still struggled?
They have to start somewhere and it can only get better compared to how he was playing early in the season.

I'm bracing for a long day for our O-line. We win by making their Geno's day longer than they make our Gino's day.
Re: Gino Gradkowski (yes another thread)
Maybe he's slowly improving?
Re: Gino Gradkowski (yes another thread)
85 yards on 30 carries against the Bengals minus Atkins is not a good enough barometer for me to say the OL has turn a corner even after they ran for 174 against the Bears.
If Rice/Pierce combined for 100+ rushing yards this Sunday then I might say otherwise. It kind of depends on how they amass those yards too.
Re: Gino Gradkowski (yes another thread)
I'll take any signs of improvement that I can with Gino no matter who it's against.

I'm crossing my fingers that the (flea-)flickers of illumination seen in the last couple of games are harbingers of the light coming fully on--sooner rather than later.

The Bengals D wasn't easy but without Atkins that pass rush up the middle just isn't the same. It was still tough on the Tackles but it was a little easier for the guys in the middle.
