Re: OT: Report: Woody Johnson wants to explore a Darrelle Revis trade

0.0032551% chance of happening
Re: OT: Report: Woody Johnson wants to explore a Darrelle Revis trade
He's been a great player but it seems to me as soon as he signs a contract he's looking to break it and get more... over and over
Re: OT: Report: Woody Johnson wants to explore a Darrelle Revis trade
He's not worth the cost to trade for him, nor the money it would cost to keep him, nor the headache he would be in the locker room. That sounds like three strikes.

Once again, the comment section of the article's page is hilarious.
Re: OT: Report: Woody Johnson wants to explore a Darrelle Revis trade
Stud CB coming off knee surgery, sorry we already have another one in the same boat. Besides his contract is to cap prohibitive for us
Re: OT: Report: Woody Johnson wants to explore a Darrelle Revis trade
Some have started to point out that they couldn't let Rex go because the team is going to be such a disaster next year that it would be unfair to the new guy. That team's going to struggle to get to 6 or 7 wins and then they'll clean house again next year.
Re: OT: Report: Woody Johnson wants to explore a Darrelle Revis trade
While we're at it, why don't we just also go out and pick up Nnamdi Asomugha?
Re: OT: Report: Woody Johnson wants to explore a Darrelle Revis trade
good luck. He may be the "best" db in the league (anyone with skill that gets away with holding as much as he does would arguably be as good though) but I dont think hes worth the cost plus likely a new contract. If I were the jets Id try to though. Hes your best asset on a team that needs rebuilt. at 28 next year, its possible to rebuild in his window but I just dont think its needed when you can down grade, maybe even to a cary williams, and use that savings to fill other roster spots where youre really hurting. Cromartie and Revis should be a flyer to teams that even though its a passing league spending big in that department alone isnt a good strategy. depth and youth is better because injuries inevitably happen in the secondary. We learned that the hard way, but are now better off for it.
