I'd actually quite like it if they did- my mate at work is an Iggles fan and it would be great to continue the banter through the playoffs and hopefully meet in Indy.
And stranger things have happened when a team sneaks in off the back of hot run- look at the Packers last year.
Last year, the groan was "I guess SOMEBODY has to win the NFC West"
This year, with the 49ers cruising towards that #2 seed, the groan is "I guess SOMEBODY has to win the NFC East"
Just a few years removed from being one of the toughest divisions in football.
The Eagles will win out and win the NFCE, and will then be the most dangerous team in the playoffs. Oddly enough.
I think they can beat Dallas but they have to go in there and get it done. should be a fun one to watch, if nothing else. Keep panning the camera to Jerry in the suite ;)
I really hope the Eagles win so the Lions kick the crap out of them in round 1 of the playoffs.
The Eagles have to win out. Then, what else has to happen for them to win the division?
Philly wins out (they play at Dallas week 16 and host Washington week 17)
The Jets beat the Giants week 16
The Giants beat the Cowboys week 17.
I think that is what it takes.
I agree. Though, another possible problem (but not that big) is that if the Giants lose to the Jets this week, and Philly beats Dallas, then the Giants cannot make the playoffs at all with a win at home vs Dallas in the last week. They are literally playing for nothing themselves except pride. They win and Philly is in, they lose and Dallas is in, but they are done.
no.
Fox said that because the Giants won today, they have been eliminated....now spoiler role.
