Two weeks ago called, they want their complaint thread back....:261695:
We have the Hot Tub Time Machine set for August 4th. :)
Steve--
FWIW, the CAP plays a significant role in how an NFL franchise is managed. My guess is that the Ravens could not afford to keep both Heap and Mason and progress with whatever their overall strategy is, including this season and the future. No question they are talented, but so are a bunch of other guys.
Not sure about your point with Boldin not being Jerry Rice. Heap is no John Mackey, and I'd take JM in a minute. Mason is no Raymond Berry, and I'd take Berry in a minute.
If I can offer a theory -- I heard a sound bite as I was flipping ESPN channels this afternoon after coming in from Harry Homeowner yard duty, where one of the talking heads said something to the tune of, "Hey, football is a young man's game." Now, I don't think it's THAT simple, but bothe Heap and Mason are aging. I wish them both the best, but It may have been time to cut ties and go younger.
Of course, this is all one guy's opinion...
Move along now. Nothing to see here.
I still disagree on letting Dilfer go.
I was at the very least expecting 2 or 3 losses before this thread appeared. Can't even play one preseason game and we're getting it already.
Dude, your disagreement cannot help us now! Where were you a few weeks ago when you could have made a difference? ;)
I can't believe we let Jamal Lewis go. We'll never win a Superbowl without him.
mark my words.... Heap won't play in more then 10 games this year.
Kudos for spelling "Anquan Boldin" correctly. Some fans still can't manage that.
Aha--
Another Beau faux pas!
Sorry, guys, I'll be more careful...:o
