Look @ that smile on Harbs face!!
Coach Hardball's first win (althrough it doesn't count).
Well good night all
i was half expecting Belechik to run past Harbs and not shake his hand...
I think this game showed us a couple of positives (offensive play calling, Kyle's play, DEFENSE, SPECIAL TEAMS), a couple of things we need to work on (OL, OL, OL, Joe Flacco getting comfortable in a crowd, penalties)
Overall, this was a nice way to start off our preseason. Don't get a headache about Flacco yet, we can't honestly expect him to be lights out from the get-go. This performance will give Cam and Hue Jackson some material to get in his face about and hopefully get him to learn from his mistakes.
I saw only bits and pieces of the game. Did Kracalik & Slaughter play ok as the starting tackles?
They were still raw, but not as bad as being turnstiles...Slaughter got manhandled a bit, but he was going up against Seymour, so that's a bit expected.
Kracalik named player of the game, played all 4 quarters
Until the defender that was headed towards the ball slides in and breaks Troy's arm or rolls on him and injures him.
Catch the ball, don't dive for it and showboat. Be professional.
Joe Flacco gets a pass from me. The OL was it's usual self. You can't bring in a rookie QB and let him get blasted in just the second series.Quote:
Troy should definitely start game 2, and Flacco needs a bit more time. He clearly isn't going to be a first year wunderkind.
Grrr. That's all. :)
I am watching the post game show and Kracalik got the player of the game. I guess he was ok. I saw some of Kyle's nice throws, and it did look like he had decent protection from the tackles.
I had *really* hoped for a better game from Troy. Oh well, these are our quarterbacks.
