Fucking gorgeous!!!!
Its not a "double" reverse. It was a regular reverse. A double reverse is when it goes -> <- ->
Re: Game Thread - Week 1 - Ravens vs Cincy
Why does everyone think thats a double reverse? 3 guys have to touch the ball BESIDES the QB in order to be a double reverse!!!

Wait what?? That's exactly what it did. Looked to me like Flacco gave to someone, and he flipped it to Clayton the other way.
Sounds like a double reverse to me. I'll have to wait to get home to see it again.

As I posted above, STan said Joe's great fake on the first reverse is what sold the 2d reverse and the blockers have to do their job.
The Ravens are winning it on the line right now.
The guys running past the QB (fake handoff) don't matter. Its how many guys touch the ball after the QB hands it off. On that play, 2 guys only touched the ball, hence the standard reverse.
The talking heads have it wrong, as they usually do!!!

Think about what you just typed! Thats the definition of a reverse. Start one way then hand it off/flick the ball and go the other. To be a double reverse, Clayton would have had to hand it to another player!
Re: Game Thread - Week 1 - Ravens vs Cincy
If it was just one receiver running, it would have been an end-around. Two receivers makes it a reverse. If just one receiver touching the ball made a reverse, what direction would he be reversing from?
