Re: The Case for a Defense-heavy Draft
Checked Gil Brandt's final posted May 5th
Some minor shuffling but spotted this
37. Demarcus Lawrence, DE, Boise State who was not in the top 125 before
Quote:
Lawrence (6-foot-2 3/4, 250 pounds) was previously unranked because I wanted to check on his off-field problems. He was redshirted as a junior college player in 2010, although the reasons are unclear, and he was twice suspended while at Boise State. His coaches say he has no major problems. Lawrence is a very athletic player with long arms and big hands, and he totaled 20 sacks from 2012-13.
Moved him one spot ahead of Dee Ford

Kelvin Benjamin was dropped from 33 to 41, I think he is out of the first round for real.
Has Jimmie Ward still at 44 for what that is worth

Compensatory or not, that is still the 138th pick of the draft. Colvin might be worth that, but it wouldn't surprise me if he is still there when the Ravens pick at 175.
Re: The Case for a Defense-heavy Draft
That would be great if he was there at 175...

But we did this for Kapron Lewis-Moore last year.

The Ravens do not have a "regular" 4th round pick, only two comp picks... Bc

Since my wife doesn't like it, it's something he and I get to enjoy together.
And it's really good.
Last finals were today and I'm too wired to sleep.
