I just read that. I don't always believe accusations against famous people, but with all of the charges being leveled, it would seem that there must be some validity. This is one fucked up dude.
It was already on the list; this is the formal indictment. The allegations came out a while ago.
Sick, sick man.
damn! Sharper was serial rapist
I believe in the old axiom "innocent until proven guilty", so I'm not going to get into whether Darren Sharper did or didn't do what he's accused of. I don't feel like I have enough information on things from just reading a brief article to make that determination.
Just in a generalized sense, though, it's horrible whenever the kind of thing he's accused of happens, but I really don't get it in the case of rich famous celebrities. I mean, a good looking (I guess he's good looking- I'm not gay or a a woman, but he didn't seem ugly from his pictures) wealthy former NFL player can't find an at least somewhat desirable women who'll voluntarily have sex with him? It's so senseless for people in those type of positions to violate women this way and traumatize them for life when they could easily find a consenting partner. I mean, even if Sharper didn't do it, there are certainly people in similar positions who do, and they're not the poor ugly guys who can't get any who one might stereotype as resorting to something like this (Not that that is even remotely acceptable either).
I think the feminists may be on to something when they say rape is a crime about power. I mean, some of it may be lustful guys who are desperate for sex, but there are certainly enough guys out there who could definitely find women who would have sex with them who rape women anyway that there must be some other motive than just lust or whatever, at least in some cases. Maybe sometimes it is lust or a desire for sex, but it seems like there are some psychological factors like wanting to force one's will on someone else that come into play in many of these cases.
Anyway, worth noting for anyone who isn't paying close attention- this is Darren Sharper the former Green Bay Packer, not Jamie Sharper the former Baltimore Raven. Jamie hasn't been accused of anything. I'd hate to see allegations made against his brother affect his legacy in some way. By all indications #55 (Jamie) was and probably still is a stand-up guy.
Looks like Sharper's attorney is going to challenge his no bail status in Arizona.

I just dont understand how a celebrity with that kind of money needs to drug and rape women.
PROSTITUTE YO. PROSTITUTE.
...ok, I DO understand that it has nothing to do with "getting some" and more to do with power...
"The former Pro Bowler is suspected by police of date-raping nine women in five states: two in Los Angeles, two in Arizona, two in New Orleans, two in Las Vegas and one in Miami Beach."
Wow... Like Wicked said hire a high class escort. He could be one of those psychos that gets off on raping chicks though. Who knows... He's gonna get plenty of jail time if he's found guilty.
I think this is the more likely scenario. Don't want to pass judgment yet, but I think Sharper has some deep seeded issues.Quote:
