To be fair, I respect him for that. We went through that with Boller. It's classless.
But yes, he and Evan Mathis both gave up chances for a ring.

Guys don't expect any major FA signings. If anything, we might follow our MO, and sign a talented but undervalued player who was cut from his former team after the draft when he has no other offers. Also, consider signing Kruger, Ellerbe, or C Williams to be our major FA signing. That's essentially what they are now. I'd have to think that we'd give them priority before anybody on the open market.
Bowe got $56 over 5 with half guaranteed.
So basically KC thinks he's a top 5 WR *smh*
I've tried for years, b/c they are seldom a threat to us and I have always liked a lot of their players, but KC is an incredibly hard team to root for.
from memory, he never played OT either left or right in college. Sat behind D'Brickashaw and Eugene Monroe.
IMO, this was an absolutely TERRIBLE move by KC. Albert is a slghtly better then average LT, and now they likely will do somthing besides draft the best player in this weak draft with the top pick. Unless they are smart enough to draft Joekel anyway, play him at LG fr a year and then let Albert walk the tfollowing year.
Plus, noodle arm Alex Smith is going to have a hard time maximizing Bowe's talents. I saw stats on twitter yesterday which had Alex Smith as having the least targets over 20 yards and a horrible record when he was asked to throw over 35 times a game.
Edit - Found a writeup on PFF.

While Smith’s stats above took a major uptick starting in 2011, there were still some red flags. While his 70.2 completion percentage last season was impressive, it also showed his unwillingness to take chances and throw the ball downfield. His average depth of target of only 8 yards was the fourth-lowest of all quarterbacks and only 8.7 percent of Smith’s passes traveled 20+ yards downfield in 2012. Among quarterbacks who started at least half their games, only Christian Ponder had a lower percentage.
